How The Northern Chiwi began
In 2009, I left England with a backpack and a one-way ticket. After a year in Australia and 13 years in New Zealand, I built a life with my Chilean wife and our two daughters before starting a new chapter in Chile. This shop is a small extension of that journey — part family story, part cultural mashup, part creative outlet.
The song that became a bread bag
What started as a funny song about Chile’s obsession with marraquetas became one of our most-loved products. It’s made for bakery runs, market visits, and anyone who knows fresh bread is never a small matter.
